omg i go every week
i thought it would start at 36 weeks but they start at 35 to do the culture for strep b. i think the following week i get a sono. i cant wait to have this kid out already!!!!!!

Me too! I just had my 37 week appointment yesterday. Next one on Wednesday! Crazy!

I had my 36 week appt today and they didn't say anything about the culture for strep b?? Wondering if it will happen next week? Also, any idea when they start doing cervical checks? I see the Stony Brook Midwives so I'm not sure that they will even do checks? They are pretty go with the flow if everything seems normal.

I'd ask about the Strep B culture at your next visit -- its usually done at 36 weeks. Some women are natural carriers of it, so if it comes back positive, you'll be treated with IV antibiotics during labor/delivery so that it doesn't pass to the baby. I had my 1st cervical check at 36 weeks -- they told me dilation and effacement.

I dont get cervical checks until 37 weeks then they start looking at dilation and effacement
