36'ish Week Appointment - UPDATED: OMG - WE HAVE A DATE
Well, i have lost 2 pounds since Thursday - and that was GREAT news. That brings my total weight GAIN to ONE pound since week 10!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU GD DIET!!!
As for other things - my bloodwork from last appointment came back fine - my CBC and HIV are good to go.
Today was step B test - which can take 1 week, but sometimes 2...so we'll see what happens. All it means if I fail is that i'll need to be medicated during delivery.
Emma will have to cross the 10 pound mark to be a FORCED c-section....any other size/weight/percentile - we can still try for vaginal delivery.
My fundal height is 37 weeks, (just a touch over my ACTUAL timing of today, 35 weeks, 5 days)....and her heart sounds great.
Had an internal - NOT FUN (though not as HORRID as i thought it could/would be)!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She said my cervix is CLOSED, but soft - she said she MIGHT'VE been feeling her head - but she's not positive - since it felt kinda 'squishy'. She said she thinks it'll take some sweet talking to get my cervix to open....and yes, you can insert Dave's giggle here and be RIGHT ON. He's going to enjoy having heard that for WEEKS!!!!
They're going to call me about a date - if it's an induction, it will be week 39...but we'll have to see what she can figure out - as i want it to be HER....and she's well aware of that....so i'm waiting on the call from the nurse.
Go back next Tuesday.
As soon as the doc leaves the room, Dave turns on the charm....'so i'm going to have to sweet talk your cervix huh? hey cervix, happen to catch last week's 30 rock?' - but the WAY he did it made me almost hit the floor laughing so hard....it's going to be a long 4 weeks if he keeps this up....though the laughter may be good to get her out!
And that's all the news that's fit to print!
ETA: UPDATE - they called the house to schedule the induction - Dave just called me!!!! I returned the call and am now waiting for them to call me back again!!!!!! OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GIRLS - I WAS RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DAVE'S BIRTHDAY IT IS - JUNE 4TH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! why can't i stop crying?????????
I will be admitted to the hospital on June 3rd at 4:00 to begin all 'the fun stuff'....and unless things go VERY quickly - she'll be here on the 4th!

What a great appointment! I'm so glad that you update us after your appointments because it's nice to refer to them when I get there!
Strep B's no biggie, my sister tested positive for it and they just started her on antibiotics when she went in for her induction.
I'm glad everything's progressing nicely. I'm sure my DH would get a crack out of "sweet talking" the cervix! Men!! 
That would be pretty neat if she was actually feeling Emma's head - then you won't have to worry about a scheduled C!

You are almost there!!!! If you want her out sooner scheduling an induction will probably work. That is what they did with me after telling me for weeks she was coming early - as soon as I scheduled it for 1.5 weeks later I went into labor a few days after that - a week earlier than the induction!
Sounds like everything is going well!

It's all coming together!
Just be aware, with DD my induction was started on the 12th (cervadil, etc), but I didn't have her until the 14th-so you never know!
