16 week appointment
i have mine coming up next week. i think as ive heard its just urine sample, blood pressure, weight.. and do they check the heartbeat?
if so, how? doppler? i think im confused as to what a soppler is. isnt that the ultrasound?
thanks for answering my silly first time pregnancy questions.

16 week appointment
It might depend on your doctor. Mine does an early anatomy scan at the 16w appointment so I had a sono followed by a typical office visit- urine, BP, weight. I also had the second part of the NT scan bloodwork.

16 week appointment
My dr does a fetal Doppler every appt. right now I'm every 4 weeks and then there are the special scans. Nt at around 11, anatomy at around 20 and then growth at around 32.
A Doppler is just a little device that they put on your belly, like a wand, and you can hear the HB

Most of the time it's basic urine, BP, and fetal heart rate with the doppler.

Definitely depends on your dr. My old obgyn would check the heart rate with a Doppler. With my current dr, they have me a quick sono to make sure all was well with the baby.

Yes your weight and blood pressure, I had some bloodwork done at the 16 wk and then they can do a Doppler where (for us) it was the 1st time we heard the baby's heart beat when he put the thing on my stomach with gel and didn't have to go "in" 
Sonogram is seeing the baby; Doppler let's you just hear the baby!
