Sending letter re: exceptional staff
DS is in K at an LI public school and gets a variety of special services. Everyone on his "team" from his classroom teacher to his lunch aides has far exceeded our expectations and been truly exceptional with him.
Now that the year is coming to an end, I want to write a letter to someone to let them know how happy we have been with the attention and level of care our son has been given. Obviously this will go to the school Principal, but is this who we should address it to? If yes, who else should we cc? The District Superintendent?
Thanks so much for any advice!

I would cc director of special education, assistant sup't for HR, and assistant sup't for Instruction in addition to superintendent

wow that is so nice of you! I hope one day someone does that for me- It is so nice to feel appreciated :)
I would definitely send to the superintendent as well, as they oversee everyone, especially those who have not gotten tenure yet

Agree with this. CC everyone. This is really great of you. Everyone loves to hear when they are doing a good job and I am sure will appreciate your time to write this letter.
