Best Items You Registered For
Hi Ladies,
First post alert!! I'm 21 weeks pregnant with my first baby. DH and I are team green, and are going registry shopping this weekend!!
What were the best things you registered for? I know it will be overwhelming, so I'd like to have some recommendations to go on when we start.
Also, has anyone ever registered using BabyList http://babyli.st/ ? From what I understand, you can basically put items from anywhere (BBB, BRY, Amazon, Etsy, etc.) and it compiles everything into one list. The only downside I can see, is that you need to go online to check the list and "reserve" what you'd like to buy. So it probably isn't the best for the older, non-computer savvy guests. I just figured I'd ask if anyone has used it before I go ahead and make things more difficult than necessary.

Def the rock n play... it's all my DS slept in for the first few weeks. He hated his bassinet.

Another vote for the rock n play -- I got the Fisher Price deluxe one that auto rocks -- its amazing. DD is 3 weeks and has been sleeping in it at night right next to our bed since we got home from the hospital! I also really like the Boppy Lounger pillow -- its different from the breastfeeding Boppy. It's a large circular pillow with an indent in the middle for baby to lay. I love it because when I'm on the couch watching TV or using my laptop with my feet up on the ottoman, DD is right next to me in her lounger either sleeping or just hanging out. Before I had it she was either in my arms which inhibited what I could do or away from me in her swing/rocker -- this was annoying because anytime she fussed or spit her pacifier out and wanted it back in, I'd have to get up -- so much easier when she's right next to me on the couch! I think its only good until they are 15 pounds and you obviously can't leave them unsupervised but I think its great!

I never got the rock n play for my other kids so now that I see this, I might get it for baby #3.

I will echo the Rock n Play...great for moving around the house and putting the baby down near you.
Also, activity mat, pack n play, and swaddle sleepers were all things we used a ton.

FP Rock and Play
Boppy waterproof changing table liners. (They are like oval terry cloth type of pads. It is NOT the actual cover that goes over the entire changing pad. It goes on top of that. Then when baby wees all over, it goes on that waterproof pad and you can just throw that in the laundry instead of the whole changing pad cover. There's 3 in a pack for like $12.99)
Bumbo
Graco Snugride 35
Uppa Baby Vista
Aden & Anais Swaddle blankets
Cool Mist humidifier
I wish I had registered for an umbrella stroller and a really good thermometer.

Breast Friend & glider - If you plan on BF. Way better than the boppy I felt. Triple Paste - worked the best out of all the ones I used. Humidifier for sure White noise machine - my son loves this Little Remidies New Parent's Starter kit. Came w/ Tylenol, Gripe Water, Gas Drops and Saline Drops. All good things to have. Nose Frida - best suction device out there.
I could have done without: Diaper Genie Kiinde Milk Storage Set

Re: Best Items You Registered For
Halo sleep sacks were my favorite! It got dd into a great nighttime routine. We called it her "magic cape"! Lol I had every size. I Now have my 2 month old ds in them, and I feel like he's already got the routine down. They know it's bedtime when the sack goes on.
Snap and go is a must!
Rock n play I use for the bathroom when I take a shower or when I go to someone's house for dinner etc. it transports so easy!
I like the arms reach co-sleeper too. Get the extension legs too.
Oh also the homedics sound spa!! Just got a second one for ds.
Also if you even *might* have another kid, register for a good video monitor with the option for another camera or one that comes with two cameras! I went cheap the first time and regretted it! The one I have now is a motorola (came with 2 cameras) that you can move around the room, has the room temp On screen. And it rotates from each camera. Love it!!

I could have written this.
I had an early version of the rock n play, which developed mold (?!?!). I got rid of it after that.
Triple paste & diaper genies are the things that lasted me forever. Strollers & carseats were also super important. We have tons of rectal thermometers.
Everything else is not really important.
