Moving oos

For those that have moved out of state what was the push that made you move? We have been house hunting here but have gone back and forth and seriously considered moving. We have a hard time pulling the trigger all our family and friends are here and I have a good job here too... But the other part of me sees what other places are like and I can't help but want to move for a simpler life style

Re: Moving oos

My husband's job moved us. I would only move knowing that at least one of you already has a job lined up in your new location. If you can't afford what you want, I would either expand the locations you are looking at or really focus on your absolute must haves and see what you can eliminate. If not save more. While we really wanted a basement, we decided that other things (bedrooms, garage, location) were more important to us. We also ended up waiting an additional two years, we looked for three years. It is hard. Hugs.

Good advice.

I also would consider towns that many poo-poo for diversity.

We are in one and so far love the school and are impressed with the overall community vibe.

I feel like we've discovered a hidden gem in what so many outsiders shun.

Many young families and many people who've lived here for decades.

What I love best is we feel no need to keep up with the Joneses either which I think would be the case in many more affluent towns.

Feel free to FM me and I can tell you our area.
