Team Green mamas over 35 - come in….
Did any of you have the genetic testing done like maternit21 or whatnot? I did and the results are posted online for me to view whenever I want and it of course includes the baby's gender. UGH.
I told the dr I didn't want to know the sex but he must have forgotten and sent me a note with the results. I called the nurse and asked her to read it and she said yup it has the sex on there so don't look. We cannot delete it from my online chart ugh. It is also in my chart at the dr office and I am so scared someone will slip at an appt. I didn't have this testing done last time and the gender of my 1st was not listed anywhere in my OB file.
Anyway this is driving me crazy. I think I may want to find out but hub is dead set against it. Someone talk me off a ledge. We didint find out for DD1 and said I would love a surprise again but the results are right at my fingertips and it would make life easier. UGHH. I am due at Xmas too - a stressful time….

Usually if you don't want to know the sex you just don't check off that box when you send in the blood work. Is it possible that you said to test for it but don't tell you?! If that's the case the result will be in the medical record you receive online and they receive in office.

Team Green mamas over 35 - come in….
I was Team Green both times, but my DH and I both wanted that.
If you want to find out this time, then find out, or at least discuss it with him. Your DH shouldn't be the only one to get his way.
But really your doc should be discussing these results with you, not having you view them online.

We did the panorama and we are team ! I made it clear upon the blood draw that we did not want to know the gender. It was never posted online or even offered to us.
Maybe you can ask them to resubmit the report without the gender online so that you aren't tempted to look.

We had the same thing but results were not online. We maintained team green until delivery and we will this time too. It's hard but doable..

Re: Team Green mamas over 35 - come in….
I was team green for both my kids. For #2 I was over 35 and had the Maternt21 test done. Every time I went in for an appointment I told them I did not want to know the sex. They had a big note on the front of my chart LOL. I loved being team green and would do it again if we are blessed with #3.

I had the panorama done this time and it was much harder being team green knowing it was right there in my chart. I held strong though, and am SO glad i didn't cave!

Team Green mamas over 35 - come in….
I was going to have Maternit done but opted against it. However, baby had enlarged kidneys and even though I said I don't want to know, the Dr made a comment that's it's more common in one sex over the other. I have a feeling but now I can't even research anything.

Yes I told him and the bloodwork lady in the office I didn't want to know and even the main nurse and they said whoever takes the call with the results can tell them to add or not add the gender to the basket but he added it! Argh I think he forgot. Now it's online and we can't delete it. Tried on their end and my end arghhhh. Anyway we communicate through mychart a lot as long as results are fine but he has called when things were not fine.

Team Green mamas over 35 - come in….
Every time I go into the office I remind them that we don't want to know the sex so they don't slip. My doctor also put a note on the outside of my file that we are not finding out the sex so everyone knows

Re: Team Green mamas over 35 - come in….
I wasn't team green but wanted to be surprised at gender cake reveal. They sent me the paperwork (which they already told me was normal) then highlited the gender!! I almost opened it then stopped. I had a friend look and write it for the baker. There has to be something they can do like cover it in the chart? Do you actually see your chart though? I don't see mine.

No they don't use paper charts. It's all online they have computers in every room.
