Team green and furniture

So for dd, we never had this issue b/c we lived in a 1-bedroom apartment and never had to worry about getting furniture! Now we are pregnant with dc 2, and team green again. What do I do about ordering furniture? Did others get neutral furniture, or just was til dc was born, then order the set? I know dc will be in our room for the first 2 months or so, but when we finally ordered dd's set, it took about 5 months to come (back ordered). I'm worried something similar will happen.

Team green and furniture

I think most color furniture goes with both boy and girl except white, in my opinion! My son has dark espresso furniture with darkish blue walls and a sports theme. for my daughters room we ordered a driftwood grey color and her walls are lavender and purple. The espresso could go with any colors for a girl and the grey could go with any boyish colors too!

I think any color furniture goes for either a boy or girl. We got white furniture for DS nursery because that is what went best with the bedding we chose.

I agree. Any color for either sex.

I guess I love the fancy white stuff for girls, so I have to be willing to give that up if I order in advance.

That's what we're doing for DD2! Love that color combo!

Is DD1's set girly? If not, then use her set for DC2 and get a new set for DD1. We bought DD1 new furniture when DD2 was born - this way we didn't have to buy another crib.

Dd has a very girly convertible crib (new) and my old furniture from growing up - white with blue trim and yellow and orange flowers. Definitely girly!

I saw a crib in Buy Buy Baby that had roses carved into the back. That's probably the only piece of furniture I would consider girly. We're having a boy and we have white furniture with white, grey and navy walls

This is how our furniture is as well... team green first time, got espresso furniture, ended up with DS and added navy and white accents to his room. Team green this time and ordered that grey-ish furniture color and we have color scheme ideas if this baby is a boy or girl.

Re: Team green and furniture

We ordered white first time around as team green but found a pretty neutral set. If anything it's more masculine than girly. We are using this set for next team green baby as well and DD1 is getting a big girl bed and new set.
