21 Day Fix--a few questions
So I am doing this sans coach but I have a few questions hoping someone knows. I did some googling but not sure if I trust the info.
--Can you use hummus (or beans) as a protein and if so how much? --Is yucca allowed as a starch? --Are 8 triscuits the right serving size? Box says 6 is the serving size and when you stack them 6 fit in the box but the book says 8 small crackers. Not sure if they mean like wheat thin size? --What's up with pickles? Not on the list but cucumbers are. I have been eating them b/c they have like no calories and I love them. --For protein, does it matter if you measure it out raw or cooked?
Tx for any feedback!

As far as I know: --Can you use hummus (or beans) as a protein and if so how much? I believe only if you are vegetarian and have limited protein sources
--Is yucca allowed as a starch? I'm sure if it's similar to sweet potato
--Are 8 triscuits the right serving size? Box says 6 is the serving size and when you stack them 6 fit in the box but the book says 8 small crackers. Not sure if they mean like wheat thin size?
I believe you go by the serving size (6)
--What's up with pickles? I love them too and ate them on the fix but they are not on the plan because of the salt
--For protein, does it matter if you measure it out raw or cooked? Measure cooked

So if I eat other protein like chicken or tuna I can't sub hummus for a meal? Only if I don't eat meat at all?

I don't know about the 21 day fix but hummus has oil and other stuff in it so it would not be a strict substitute portion for beans or chickpeas.
And there is def a difference in portion size of cooked and raw meat. The info you tell you if you should weigh it raw or cooked.

Yes I know there is a difference which is why I am asking. The book is confusing. It says a "portion" is 4oz uncooked in the recipe section but once that is cooked I could fit like double in the little container. Plus some things I read on-line say it is 6oz portion.
I know there are a few coaches here was hoping one of them would chime in.
