IVF for 2nd Pregnancy?
Just wondering do you need to do the IUI's again or is the approval granted based on the need for IVF the first time around.
I was looking at my GHI guidelines and they say this:
Infertility services are not considered medically necessary once pregnancy is established.
(Member will have to re-qualify for ART services)

I have GHI and the insurance did not reject my "infertility services" after I had my DS when I TTC #2. I went back to the RE again when we were ready to try for #2, and did IUI's but I think I had to do 6 IUI's (i'm under 35) before doing IVF (unless the doctor wrote in something to the insurance for me saying that IVF was necessary because of a diagnosis/condition, etc).

IVF for 2nd Pregnancy?
I don't have ghi but I did IVF for my first and was able to for my 2nd the only issue I had was that they required me to use my frozen first. I did two fet's that did not work and then my dr petitioned to let me do a fresh with the remainder of my 10k lifetime benefits. Thankfully my last shot worked for me with a fresh cycle.

If you're going back to RSofNY I'm sure there are ways around it. Have a consult with Trivax since I don't know how he coded my FET last year but I had no infertility coverage left and only had OOP of $600 something for that cycle.

The plan is to go back to RSNY but I want to start IVF next summer but if I need to do IUI's again then we will need to start earlier.
I have no more frosties so I need to do a fresh cycle

Test will be based off of how long ago the last tests were done.

You can do Ivf again without IUI not sure about tests because we are doing FET I had to do a saline sono month before I wanted to start
