Price on railings
We just redid our front steps and are now looking into what kind of railing to get for them.
We want to stay away from the iron because that's what was there and it was rotted. Plus we don't want to have to paint it for up keep.
What kind of railing do you have and how much $$$ are the different types?
TIA

Re: Price on railings
We ended up with an aluminum railing from family fence in bellmore. I think it was 1700 and it was a lot cheaper than some iron quotes we got! Plus it never rusts. We did get it done in the fall though so not sure if it was cheaper vs peak season

Price on railings
Getting my PVC rails installed this coming Friday -- $950. This price includes them drilling down into the paver stones and cementing the posts in. Make sure that whoever does it does NOT just attach them to the top of the steps. If they are installed this way and someone slips and goes to grab them, or places any kind of moderate weight on them, they'll crack at the base and the person will fall off your stoops. Worth it to pay extra money to have it done correctly.

Re: Price on railings
Got a great quote from N&J Iron Works - they do wrought iron and my friend has used them and they are amazing. Iron not like the iron that was used years ago! Quote was cheaper than any PVC quote we received
