Beta rising really fast?
Sorry to crash but my friend called me with a beta question that I have no idea how to answer. She believes she is 4 weeks today or tomorrow. She had her o confirmed by her dr. She received her first bfp on 8 dpo. She had a beta ar 9 dpo which was 9. Wednesday she had her 2nd beta and it was 48. Fraternal twins run on her mom's side. And she has been symptomatic before her bfp (she called me at 6 dpo and said she was pregnant. I told her she is crazy. What do I know?) So considering genetics, betas, symptoms and early bfp, she thinks it's multiples. I told her she has to just wait it out but she wants insight. Any ideas?

Re: Beta rising really fast?
I can't talk to multiples Bc I've only had singles, but I had a similar experience with baby #4, and he is still a single lol. But I knew I was pregnant way before I got a bfp, I can't tell you how many tests I wasted, because I was so sure, but the tests didn't become positive till 9 dpo. My betas also rose very fast, that the doctor was joking about multiples, but I've had 3 sonos, it's just 1 little guy :).
Good luck to your friend!

Beta rising really fast?
My beta was 54,000 before I hit 6 weeks. At 6w1d I had strong hb. For me it didn't mean multiples, it just meant I was violently sick.

Beta rising really fast?
Honestly that's a nice rise but not necessarily a huge increase in 48 hours. With DD my betas tripled in the beginning then slowed down. I wouldn't read too much into it...a beta of 48 at 10 or 11DPO is not really high at all.

That's what I said. I even said maybe that first beta was incorrect. She got a bfp the day before the beta of 9. But she was surprised it went from 9-48 so quickly. The dr was hoping for a number higher than 18.

Re: Beta rising really fast?
Not indicative. I had very high and quicky rising betas for both of my pregnancies. They were both singletons.

Same here. My last (and final ) pregnancy I had a beta of 33,000 at 5w5d and at 6w1d it was over 55,000! But only a singleton

I agree. When I had triplets, my beta at 12 DPO was 425.
