Spinoff: which "style" brushes do you use

Sorry I don't know how to word it but once I figure out a brand which type of brushes do you have? I see there are some sets that comes with like 30 brushes but I'm sire I don't need all of those. Just looking for basic brushes for eye, eyebrows, concealer.

I have powder, blush, concealer, and six different eye shadow brushes. They are different shapes.

For face- I use a concealer brush, a powder brush, an angled brush for contour, a blush brush, and a small powder brush for highlight

For eyes- I use 3 brushes, a medium flat brush for the lid, a small angled brush for the crease, and a very small thin brush for under my eyes

For eyes- it kind of depends on the shape of your eye & the style of makeup you'll be wearing, but these are the basics:

a flat brush for laying color on the lid-this gives a more concentrated placement (sometimes called a shader brush)

a crease brush. These can vary in size depending on your needs.

a blending brush--it is good to have a couple of these. You can apply color lightly with them & then you want to blend with a clean one

a pencil brush or a smudger brush- either of these can be used for shadow under the eye. You can also use the tip of the flat brush.

eyebrows- a spoolie brush & an angled brush if you use powder. I have a lot of brow ,so I just use a skinny pencil ( Anastasia Brow Wiz) to fill in & use the spoolie on the end, but you can buy brushes that are a spoolie on one end & an angled brush on the other end.

eyeliner- I use gel eyeliner that comes in a pot, so I like a small firm brush.

I also use this tiny brush- sometimes with powder, sometime with gel--it is for getting eyeliner really close to the lashline, so you don't really see a line, but your lashline is darker.

Concealer- you have a lot of options here--you can use a small flat eyeliner brush or your fingers, or a small flat foundation brush to pat on color & a fluffy eyeshadow or concealer brush to blend.
usually I just use my fingers.

I sometimes use the 2nd from the left brush from this set for concealer under my eyes

and this to blend

If you are covering acne, small eyeliner brushes or lip brushes are good because you only want the concealer on the bump.
Are you interested in wearing foundation , powder, blush, bronzer, contour, highlight?

The ELF complexion brush (get 2). One for setting powder and one for blush.

And if you are into contouring, I find this one great for that.

I use very few brushes. I have a GREAT foundation brush. I have a fluffy brush for bronzer and blush, it's probably technically a blush brush. And for eyes, I literally only use 2....something to pack on the shadow and a blending brush to blend it out. I'm pretty simple about my brushes. It's too much to clean otherwise!!

An angled shadow brush and a flat shadow brush with short bristles are good staples for me. I have a few of those so that I don't ever have to worry about a dark eye shadow product still being on the brush when I go to use a light one. I clean them with baby wipes anyway. The real brush cleaner is good but I don't break that out every day. I think that when you get a set, you have to expect not to use some of the brushes. I hate when those sets leave out the best ones.
