Connors test
Hi....not sure if this should be here or under "parents" my son's teacher told me that she has to refocus him at least 2 Times a day......he is in 2nd grade...she said he has no learning issues he passes his tests just the focus thing I spoke with school psychologist she spoke with the teacher and they both said this he just needs to be reminded to pay attention......so I took it upon myself (because the psychologist) said she feels he does not need to be evaluated) I'm having a Connors test done at DR office...my question is what can I expect on this test should I even stress him out over this???? I mean I could see if he was all over not listening he sits does his work but it is mostly that math.....thanks

I wish I on,y had to focus my 5th graders twice a day.

she has to redirect him 2x a day, honestly that is nothing, I redirect some kids up to 10 times in a 45 minute period
I have never heard of the conners test but I really wouldn't be concerned about him

Connors test
I don't know how it's administered by the doctor, but when I had to do it as a teacher, it was a scale that the parents filled out and the teacher filled out, and we sat with the psychologist to go over the results.
I had a class of eight children diagnosed with ADHD. It's great that you are being so proactive, but redirection twice a day is nothing.

Thanks guys I agree I mean I feel bad to stress him out !!! Thanks so much I respect every single comment I mean I could see if he was all over the class ....not paying attention at all and we know it's not anything with his learning honestly I think he is a typical little boy who hates math ! Thanks again

The Connors' is just a rating scale filed out by the teacher and/or parents. The child has nothing to do with it...so I wouldn't even mentioned it to him.

Ummm 2x a day??? Thats it? I have some kids I have to refocus 10 times a period. 2 times a day is VERY normal for 2nd grade. I wouldn't worry.
