How long does it take to get blood work back?
I got my BFP on 12/18. I've been spotting on and off since Christmas eve. I haven't been to the doctor yet, but I called yesterday because it was the first time I had some red blood. The other spotting has just been brown blood. My doctor sent me for blood work yesterday and I'm going again tomorrow. I was just wondering when I should expect the results. My first appointment is supposed to be in a week.
This has been such a roller coaster. Sorry if this is TMI. I've had some red blood yesterday and today after going to the bathroom. It has only been on the toilet paper, but at least twice I had to wipe several times before it was gone. There are other times when I go to the bathroom and there's nothing. The spotting generally happens after having a BM, but I haven't been constipated or straining to go recently. I've also had more period like cramping yesterday and today, which I really wasn't having before that.
I don't know what to think. I have been really nervous since my BFP and haven't had a great feeling especially since I first started spotting. At the same time, I'm trying to hold out hope that things will be okay.

How long does it take to get blood work back?
Did you have blood work done in your dr's office or a lab? If you had it done in a lab after 12:00, it most likely won't be back til tomorrow. I hope everything turns out well for you!
Eta: have you asked if you can come in earlier for a sono? You're over 6 weeks already.

About 1 day for blood, less if you went to a lab.
They could also do an early sono now to see what's going on.
Have you taken a test at home? It won't be definitive, but it would at least tell you if it's still positive.

id be hopeful that it mostly happens when youre straining.
If you went directly to a lab, if it was just for a beta, the dr should definitely have it by now

I went around 5 p.m. yesterday to a lab. I mentioned something about coming in earlier when I spoke to the nurse, but after she spoke to the doctor, they wanted me to just get blood work. I'm hoping to go for more blood work tomorrow before work even though it's closer to 40 hours between blood draws, and call the doctor by Thursday if I haven't heard anything before then.
