So sick
Friday I started getting stuffed up and had a tickle in my throat. Fast forward to today, I'm completely stuffed with the worst sinus headache of my life. The pain and pressure are getting unbearable. Last night I literally got up every 30 minutes to pee. I had the chills and then got hot and then chills again.
My poor DD (20 months) woke up with a runny nose, just what I feared. :(.
I'm 28w4d. Is there anything I can take? I have sat in bathroom with shower running, and am using saline spray but the pressure is killing me, and DH is working until 5 so not like I have any help with DD.

Re: So sick
I'm almost 35 weeks with the most awful cold ever. You can take Robitussin, but I'd recommend going to a doctor and getting a Zpack. They're also safe to take, but of course you need a script.
ETA: I was at my OB on Thursday and she says to me "you sound awful." I said "I know, please give me something and if not, take this baby out so I can take some Dayquil!"

Re: So sick
I have been so stuffed for weeks and just miserable, my family doctor would only give me amoxicillin and that did nothing. My OB told me I could take sudafed, and Claritin. I have been living on cough drops bc I'm 34 weeks and so afraid I'm going to cough really bad and pee myself lol. But this cough won't go away, it's awful.

Re: So sick
I was sick also (still can't shake it) and went to the doctor. They would not allow antibiotics , only Claritin and Tylenol which I didn't bother to take. Call your OB and see what they say. It's miserable

I'm also currently getting over a sinus thing that turned ear infection. She gave me a zpack since i'm allergic to all the other 'pregnancy safe' antibiotics. i'm still clogged and still have a touch of the ear infection after finishing it so they want me to do another z-pack but she said i could also take Zyrtec to help with the pressure and sinus congestion.

Re: So sick
Are you running a fever? When you're pregnant, you shouldn't really "ride it out." See a dr just to be extra careful. There's a lot you can take, but you should ok it with your dr and/or ob first.

Re: So sick
Had to take amoxi for a double ear infection. It was the only thing that helped

Thank you all! I called my ob today and they said to take Tylenol and sudafed. Also said to go to dr to make sure my lungs and ears were ok. The walk in clinic gave me a nasal spray that is category B whereas sudafed is category C... So I'm waiting on the sudafed if I can help it. I'm just so miserable!
Ps they also gave me amoxicillin but said not to get it filled for three days. If I'm worse in three days, I should start it. Hope everyone feels better!
