Is this a good quote? Tile
A tile guy quoted me $1200 for 140sqft. of tile for the walls and shower in my bathroom. We will be supplying the tiles.
Good or bad?

I was quoted a little more than $8/sqft when I did the math. A few friends/family members said a good quote is around $5/sqft.. Might opt to do waincoting on the bathroom walls, rather than tile to save a little more $$. My dh can do the wainscoting, but cannot do tile, and the wainscoting is pretty inexpensive at home depot for the panels. We are thinking of doing subway tile with a mosaic strip in the shower only

If your DH is handy, you don't need actual Wainscoting. it can be done using different size moulding.
got this pic off google

I dunno I had 2 guys quote my house. They were around the same price. the one who broke out the costs charged around $8 for the floor (mud floor) and $6 and change for the walls and an additional charge for the mosaic strips. I had multiple bathrooms and a kitchen. Its possible that I paid more than I should have, but I felt OK having 2 quotes
