Working day of transfer..,
Hey ladies, so I'm going on Tuesday for a day 5 transfer and I of course have work that day for 12 hrs. I'm in the healthcare field so you can only call in if you're dead or dying, so this wouldn't count. I plan to take it easy in the am for like an hr or two after transfer and then go into work late and try to be a little more laid back at work than usual. What are your thoughts? I am off the 3 days after transfer so I plan to take it really easy those days.
Anybody work day of transfer and still get pregnant?

Do you need to be on your feet for your whole shift?
I know my RE said there's no proof that staying off your feet makes IVF work, but I don't think I'd want to be standing for 12 hours either.
That being said, I got pg from IUIs. The one that worked with my DS I was up and walking the entire day after my IUI. Like 5 miles or more. And it worked.

Honestly, I'd call in sick. If it doesn't work, you don't want that in the back of your mind. People might be pissed, but oh well - life happens. You can get a doctor's note if necessary. That's what I did just in case.

Working day of transfer..,
I literally chased & picked up my 1 year old all day after this transfer & it worked. Some studies indicate going about your everyday is better but do what you feel comfortable

I would only work if you are expected to be on your feet for a full 12 hours after the transfer! New research does suggest that walking right after the transfer gets your blood flowing to your uterus faster likely increasing the chances of implantation, but you definitely don't want to overdo it.

I worked and the cycle was a success. Do what makes you comfortable and what won't leave you second guessing yourself if it doesn't work. GOOD LUCK!!!

Thanks ladies! I think I'm gonna go to work and take it easy I might end up being on my feet less than chasing my 3yo around at home. Plus the research about blood flow to the uterus makes sense too.
