Re: Baby Clothes to Bring to Hospital?

Interesting! The newborn stuff just seems soooooooo little. Then again, the brand makes a difference, too. I compared two different pairs of newborn sized leggings and one was almost double the length of the other. I'm more worried about her being long than outweighing the clothes, ya know? I do have a lot of the gowns in newborn and 0-3 months since they are easy and more forgiving in terms of size.
My DD was 8lbs 8oz and 20 1/4" and my DS was 9lbs 4oz and 20 3/4" and both wore newborn clothes at first, my DD lasted a little longer in them but anything 0-3 months was HUGE on them.

Re: Baby Clothes to Bring to Hospital?
I only brought a coming home outfit with DD 1 and 2 but I did bring the boppy with DD 2 and loved having it I liked having her sit on the bed with me and it was the perfect way to prop her up that I felt was safe and comfortable. I plan on bringing it with baby number 3 too

Re: Baby Clothes to Bring to Hospital?
Thank you! I have both a newborn lounger and the my Brestfriend pillow to help with nursing. I was only going to bring the nursing pillow, but maybe I'll toss the lounger in the back of the car just in case I should want it, too.

Baby Clothes to Bring to Hospital?
I dressed my kids while in the hospital - especially if we had visitors.

For DD1, I brought a 0-3 outfit and a newborn outfit. She was about 4 months old before she fit in the 0-3 outfit and she was an average sized baby. While in the hospital, both kids just wore what the hospital put them in. It's much easier when they go to weigh them and stuff like that. Plus they're swaddled pretty much the whole time anyway.
Yes! I remember a nurse saying to me, these first few days are not a fashion show!
LOL
She was so right.
HA!! its so true.
I just bought her going home outfit and even that was just a cotton pajama. Comfort all the way.

OH! I had no idea they provided clothes, too! Interesting. Thank you so much, I was breaking my head over it last night.
Well they usually provide a white side snap tee. I know most people only bring a going home outfit but I brought cute onesies/comfy outfits and hats/headbands because that's just how I am

Baby Clothes to Bring to Hospital?
I guess I'm in the minority, but I brought a few outfits and changed dd a few times while we were there. I didn't do this for first dd though. Only this one. I had fun dressing her up during the day for visitors.

Re: Baby Clothes to Bring to Hospital?
Thanks everyone. I did pack a couple of onesies and leggings just in case I feel so inclined to dress her up. I have a few side snap onesies so I packed those to make it easier on the nurses doing the tests but still cute for company. I know we'll have a revolving door of people all day while we're at the hospital. She's the first grandbaby in my generation so there's lots of excitement.
