I think either white, grey, or a light wood color would look great and brighten it up. You can also use the decor to brighten it up with a rug, curtains, wall art, etc. I love the two tone with the chair it looks great!

Thanks! I'm like the grey furniture but do you think white is gender neutral? I'm have a boy obviously so I don't want anyone to judge lol

I think grey or white. My friend did a dark blue room for her son with white crib it looks great! Do what you like!

Grey or white for sure. White is definitely gender neutral!

I'll be different....I think you should go a medium wood or dark espresso and use accessories and bedding to lighten it up. I do not think of grey or white furniture/cribs to be gender neutral at all - it's definitely girly to me.

Funny, I'm in the same situation. Just painted our boys room bottom navy blue, top half grey. I love it but it's a bit dark and unfortunately we already have espresso furniture in there (third baby). In a few years when we change them over to bunk beds, if we don't change the paint to something lighter I'm leaning towards white furniture. I've seen lots of pictures of boys rooms with white furniture and it's not girly at all. We're doing a slightly nautical theme and I think white would look great.

That's ladies! I have to do my searching for furniture now lol. I wasn't trying to do nautical but when I went into PBK (pottery barn kids) I kept drawing to navy and grey... So I changed my idea to incorporate the navy
