The Jackson's are the original Kardashians, they are just smarter.
She was in the middle of a tour - a tour that was not selling. All the months of planning, money, costumes, expenses...you don't just up and say, OK today we're gonna scrap all that and get pregnant. It doesn't compute. This is a convenient way to cancel her poorly selling tour and gain sympathy - she may be having a baby, but I would bet a surrogate is carrying.
This is an interesting theory! I'd buy it. I was thinking, of all the women who can't get pregnant after 40 (or so) and reading that she only had a 1% chance of being successful, it's pretty amazing that It happened to work for her.
Who knows, maybe she is actually pregnant but I wouldn't be surprised if the above is true.

The issue isn't a 50-year-old carrying a pregnancy (although there are risks).
The issue is 50 year old eggs.
If she used donor eggs or previously frozen eggs, her pregnancy rate is just slightly that than the age of the eggs.
Regardless of how she is becoming a mother, good for her.

My first reaction was a surrogate also. I think she will go into hiding and or only be seen in really large things.

There are a few Hollywood women that were PG in their late 40s and no one made a big deal.
Its because its Janet that now its newsworthy and "crazy"
no, I think it is age over the person. People know others who have had kids in their forties, but 50 is incredibly rare.

there was a blind item about her -- basically she'll have a kid, but she's not pregnant---think beyonce all over again.
