LI IVF IUI cost
My insurance covers nada for infertility other than diagnostics. LI IVF gave me a quote of $1900 over the phone for a IUI, which I thought was really high. Then I realized that may include meds...I hope. I should have asked but didn't think of it. Does anybody happen to know?
Cornell quoted me $690 for the IUI, not including the cost of injections.

Wishful thinking. $1900 is for the monitoring, blood work, and IUI. It does not include meds. I paid it a few times several years ago.

Re: LI IVF IUI cost
Oh, gosh. I thought the monitoring and blood work would be covered during the IUI cycle since everything would be billed individually

if your insurance is going to cover the monitoring, your cost should be much less than $1900. But typically if you only have coverage for diagnostics, they will not cover the monitoring appointments for fertility treatment.

LI IVF IUI cost
LI IVF is sooo much more expensive. I just left there and switched back to my old practice RS of NY and I'm paying $1,500 LESS this cycle for the same I did at LI IVF. There was nothing better about LI IVF to warrant paying THAT much more. As a matter of fact I never saw dr's there. Ive had 3 monitoring appointments so far for this cycle. First two I saw a dr and today they asked if I wanted to see one before I left but I declined because I didn't feel a need to... But at least I had the option. I wish I had comparison shopped beforehand because I NEVER would have gone with LI IVF if I knew how expensive they were. Totally not worth it to me. Their care in my opinion is no better than RS of ny. If you have questions pm me.

Re: LI IVF IUI cost
Ughhhh from what I read, the RS of NY monitoring schedules don't work for me. They make you make an appointment...no walk-in hours, correct? You get your US done and then wait for a doc to see you? I need to be in and out quickly ok the morning. Ugh. On top of the horrible billing problems I have had with Cornell, I don't think I can't handle all of this. Right now I literally owe over $8000 for blood work for a Cornell being screw up, which they are refusing to fix. I am done before I even started anything

Re: LI IVF IUI cost
FYI, if you are looking to do a standard IUI. No meds and can get a positive OPK reading on your own some regular OB/GYN practices will do the IUI in their office. The cost of the IUI is a few hundred.

Re: LI IVF IUI cost
I had no idea!!! I do ovulate on my own and am a pro at using the OPK tests. Seems like that would save me a ton of money. Thanks for the suggestion.

LI IVF IUI cost
I was just looking on the Long Island IVF website. Does anyone know why an IUI with just Clomid/Femara is $1900....and an IUI with injectibles is $2900....which doesn't even cover the cost of the injectibles? If it's because they do one extra US and one extra round of blood work, that's insane....I really hope that's not the reason they charge an extra $1000.

Coming from someone who did 2 IUIs at a OB/ gun office. Don't waste your time. They do not monitor you like a clinic and if you ovulate on the weekend and they are not open you are out of luck. Plus you have to fit into a regular dr office hrs.

Have you looked into RMA? They have walk in hours at several locations. I went to both the garden city and (main) Manhattan locations.

Re: LI IVF IUI cost
This is exactly why... injectables require more/closer monitoring than the pills.
They're definitely not the only clinic that has separate rates for those 2. I know SIRM has different rates. Not sure about other places.
