Thank you! I spoke with my principal and she said their system was down that's why I hadn't received it. I have my notice today though anyway.
I know its the being sure about it part a king sure you have a job.
BTW 5he system being down, slow or fixed happens pretty frequently. 
Well that stinks!
I just hope that I get that first paycheck... my biggest fear is what happened last year happening again. I KNOW that it happened because it took forever to get my file number and now that I have one, there should not be ANY problems... but muscle memory makes me paranoid
You're in the system and so as long as you are processed and get that welcome email from the DOE before 9/6 you should be fine! But I understand the anxiety around it.

That was quick! And painless. Lol. Yay! Welcome to the DOE!!! 
Now don't get discouraged but I believe you can't change anything on NYCAPS u til school starts if you needed too because they just dont allow you too. You should be able to go on to payroll portal now and apply for salary step and differentials.

There's such a thing? My school did one for 2 days in house to get us ready since at least 10 people were hired and new. I did take a danielson workshop that I was paid per session for. Basically New Teacher Week will probably explain danielson and explain policy and procedures.

In the email it says that I will receive an "invitation" this summer for new teacher week. I will email my principal to ask her.
I'm hoping its not all week! I would love to find out what grade I am actually teaching, and start preparing and be able to get into my classroom sooner rather than later.

I don't see it being more than a day or two. The unspoken rule is that teachers go in the week before to setup.
I already have one PD I'm signed up for on the 31st. Plus the week before on the 24&25.

They paid me when I did the Danielson Workshop. It would say it on the invitation, if it doesn't I wouldn't count on it.
