Dr. Trongone & Petrocelli?
Can anyone tell me the good and bad regarding this office?
I've only seen Dr. Petrocelli and while he was very nice and all of their reviews are exceptional, I'm seriously considering switching practices over the way their office is run and I'm trying to figure out if this is going to be a constant issue or perhaps I just had a bad experience initially.

I'm curious to see the answers you get. I'm a patient there and while I like the doctors just fine, I'm not crazy about the office. There's always a long wait, no human ever answers the phone and messages don't seem to be checked until the end of the day—it's so frustrating. And their billing is always messed up!

I'm a patient there and I've definitely waited long amounts of time in the waiting room during my pregnancy. But since I've been 36 weeks and only going on Fridays, wait time has been like 10 minutes.
I haven't had any problems with the office otherwise.

These are pretty much my exact issues! I don't know if it's really worth switching if I like the doctors, hence why I was looking for some feedback that perhaps I've just been dealing with some isolating issues.

Dr. Trongone & Petrocelli?
When my daughter was a little over a month old I wanted to switch my pediatrician. After getting the recommendation from a friend I tried to make an appointment at this practice. I was told NO! They told me they only see babies they visit at the hospital. I was super annoyed. I asked if they could make an exception because I was really unhappy with my pediatrician and being a first time mom I had a lot of questions. They told me they would ask the doctor. Got a call back an hour later saying NO again. They were very rude over the phone as well. I ended up going to Dr. Panteloglou and am very happy!

I think you may be thinking of another office, these are obgyns not pediatricians.

Ah sorry! You're right. I remember the names because I called them. Can't remember why I didn't go with them though. Just ignore my post. I lost a lot of brain cells when the baby was born lol

I've been a patient for over 10 years and had 2 babies with Dr. T. I've never had an issue (except the long wait-I find that very annoying). Always get a person answering the phone and never had billing issues.

Happy to hear you haven't had any issues with the office, except for long wait times. I'm going to give them another chance. Thankfully I'm still early on, so if I needed to make a switch I can.

Re: Dr. Trongone & Petrocelli?
Dr. Petrocelli just delivered my DS yesterday and he was amazing. Very encouraging, comforting, and helpful during labor and delivery. He was 1000% better than the Dr. that I used for my DD a few years ago.

Congratulations!!!! Very happy to hear. I've heard the doctors are exceptional, which is why I chose the practice and probably why I will be staying, because at the end of the day they are the ones delivering my baby not the office staff. I just really wanted to know if these problems are things I should be prepared to deal with my entire pregnancy.

Re: Dr. Trongone & Petrocelli?
I love both doctors! Granted, my youngest is almost 4 now so I only go for yearly checkups. Never had an issue with billing. I always found the staff so sweet and nice.
With my twin pregnancy (it was only Dr. T at the time), I had false labor 3x and called and annoyed him at all crazy hours and he was such a doll.
I have noticed recently in trying to schedule my annual, it is difficult to get someone to pick up the phone. I called a few times and the answering machine picked up and I had to leave a message and someone called me back several hours later.
This is annoying and hope this does not continue! That is literally the first and only negative thing I have to say. I have had to wait at times (not all the time), but I don't complain because when I was pregnant, I was the reason sometimes others had to wait.

Re: Dr. Trongone & Petrocelli?
So far I like them and the waits haven't been an issue. I think waits are an issue with ANY OB necause the doctor can get called out at any time or things can shift with emergencies and extra appointemtns for pregnant women with complications. My former practice had horrible waits.

I see them. They delivered both of my boys. I only had a long wait for the 12w sono. Otherwise in within 10 minutes. No issues with office or billing either. Messages returned timely as well. I had great experiences throughout both pregnancies from the staff, to nurses and doctors. And although irrelevant I just have to add that Dr. T is kind of a silver fox, he reminds me of Mr. Big and Dr. P is like my age so slightly ackward.

Thanks for the feedback! I haven't been back for an appointment yet. I have my NT scan on the 14th, so we will see how it goes.
