MaterniT21 test and Team Green
I know the Maternit21 test can tell you the gender. We are team green and desperately DO NOT want to know the gender and I'm worried it's just part of your results for this test and it will accidentally get mentioned or put in my file. Does anyone know if there's a way to have this test but exclude the gender part of it?

MaterniT21 test and Team Green
I don't know about Materniti21, but I did the panorama test, and before they took the blood they asked if I wanted to know the gender. I think the Drs office had to check off a separate box for them to give me the Gender info.
A friend recently had an NIPT (not sure which one though), and she is on Team Green. She said there was actually a sticky note over the gender on her chart lol, but she still hasn't found out and is close to 30 weeks now

I had the MaterniT21 test done and wanted to stay team green. I made sure to tell my doc at each appointment we did not want to know the gender. They put a sticky note on my chart saying "does not want to know gender"

MaterniT21 test and Team Green
I did the Harmony test. When I called the office for my results, the nurse asked if I wanted to know the gender. My friend who uses the same office was team green, and she had a big note on her file about being team green as well.

Same here. Before I had the test done I made it clear I didn't want to know. When I got the call for the results they asked if I wanted to know after telling me the baby was fine. So it's not anything they just came out with, I also found out a lot of times doctors or nurses will refer to the baby as a "him" or "her" it doesn't mean they're spilling the beans, it's just force of habit. DS was referred to as a "she" a few times.

Re: MaterniT21 test and Team Green
I had another version of MaterniT21. When the nurse called with the results, she asked if I wanted to know the gender. I said no, and that was that. I also told doctor at the beginning of next appointment that I didn't want to know so she didn't slip.

MaterniT21 test and Team Green
I think it might have been possible - it might have been an option in the test order form. But, I was always asked by the doctors and nurses if we knew. I think they are used to trying not to let it slip. it definitely shows in the results if you view them electronically - I could see mine in the Quest app.

Re: MaterniT21 test and Team Green
I had the NIPT through a different lab. I received the results via email and if I wanted to know the sex, I could've clicked on a link to get it. My OB put a note in my chart that I don't know the sex and it's not readily available in my chart.

MaterniT21 test and Team Green
We were team green with both of our children. MaterniT21 wasn't yet readily available with our first. With our second, the minute anyone entered the room for any appointment, I reiterated that we didn't want to know the sex. No one ever slipped.

They won't accidentally tell you.
We wanted to know the gender and they still asked us twice before they revealed the gender. They don't want to accidentally tell you.

this is my fear, since it just seems to be part of the testing.

This happened to me as well. One of the many nights I couldnt sleep, I decided to sign up for the portal, and saw all my test results there. I didn't know that they actually put the gender in there. I was def upset at first.
