24 hr urine/ pre preeclampsia :/
I feel like I did something wrong...
Got results back from 24 hr urine. Needed to do it because my blood pressure has been occasionally high.
Dr said I'm borderline with protein in urine and basically pre preeclampsia. I probably will have to deliver baby early- he is guessing a max of 36 weeks.
He put me on baby asprin. But other than that he believes it just due to age (35) and being on my feet all day.
Was anyone else in this situation? What was the outcome?
I'm kinda freaking out...

Re: 24 hr urine/ pre preeclampsia :/
I had protein in my urine my entire first pregnancy. I was never diagnosed with pre-e. Delivered 10 days early, but went naturally.

Did you have any high blood pressure readings?

24 hr urine/ pre preeclampsia :/
It happened to me after 32 weeks. I had high pressure and they took my urine every weekend until it became too high and my pressure spiked and I had the baby at 37 weeks. 5 weeks on bed rest for that and preterm labor.

I did once, but they had me lie on my side and retook it and it went right back down. They just watched me more carefully but nothing ever came to be. My second pregnancy was totally normal - no protein and no high bp...and I delivered 15 days early that time!

Re: 24 hr urine/ pre preeclampsia :/
I had high BP and severe swelling starting early on in the third trimester with my first pregnancy. My BP and swelling got worse over time. I was sent to L&D once for monitoring about a month before my EDD. I had some protein in my urine and my blood work showed some issues (it had something to do with uric acid levels if I remember correctly). At that point, I was taken out of work and put on bed rest. My 24 hour urine collection was okay, but I was closely monitored for the next 2.5 weeks. When I was sent to L&D, I was told I wouldn't be allowed to go past 38 weeks. It was totally crazy because we were in the process of moving and I didn't think I'd make it to the moving date. My BP was high, but within acceptable limits as long as I was lying down so they let me go until 38 weeks. I was induced and DS1 was born the next day (less than a week after we moved). My BP issues resolved after delivery and I didn't have any BP issues with my second pregnancy 3.5 years later. I'm AMA this time with baby #3 and so far at 21 weeks, I have had normal BP readings.
Good luck! If your BP isn't too high, I'd see if there are ways to try to manage it before delivering too early. Hopefully it can be controlled as much as possible.

Something similar for me. But my blood work was always fine. I had elevated BP from my second tri on. They put me on meds for it. Even on the meds it was always borderline but the doctor wasn't too concerned. I went for 24 hour urine twice. Both times it was ok. So they just kept me on meds. My swelling was also OUT of control. My feet and ankles were ridiculous. But again, they just kept an eye on it and kept me on the bp meds until I delivered. I delivered one day before my due date with no complications and never got diagnosed with pre-e.
As soon as she was out of me my BP went back down to normal with no meds. The doc thought it could be just the extra blood supply of being pregnant and how my body handled it. I never had BP issues before or since.
