End of year teacher gifts (group, indiv, or both)
I've traditionally given individual gifts to all my sons' teachers but this year decided to give to the class mom who is organizing a group gift. I was wondering for others that do this, do you also give a card from your little one too? Or maybe a little something extra, $10 DnD gift card maybe? I might be over thinking but I really want to let the teachers know how appreciative I am of the time they take with each of my boys. One is nursery school with 4 teachers, the other is kindergarten with 4 as well.

I've done it both ways. If I feel the teacher really went above and beyond, I will get our own thing also in addition to giving to the class gift.

This exactly
DS1 is in 2nd grade. He has two teachers that go above and beyond so they will get a separate gift in addition to the class gift.
DS2 is in kindergarten. I don't like his teacher at all. SHe is ready to retire and acts like she's just done with school. I'm the class mom so there a lot and see how miserable she is. I will contribute the $10 and that's it.
I also give money to their bus drivers bc they are always friendly and have gone out of their way for us.

I usually contribute to the class gift and buy something extra just from my child. this year I didn't contribute and instead got a bottle of wine plus a $20 cold stone gift card.

I usually contribute to the class gift and give the teacher something additional. Our class moms typically collect $10 - $5 goes to the teacher and the other $5 goes in a pool to be split amongst the specials and TAs.

Thank you all for your answers. I think I'll do the same, both. The group gift is great but I want to give a little more.
