How much to expect (child care question)?
Asking for a friend not on these boards ...
2 kids (approx 8 and 11), M-F, 3-6pm at their home. No housework or meal prep. Occassional driving to activities (maybe once or twice a week). No mornings needed.
How much does a sitter cost?

How much to expect (child care question)?
Most will probably say between $10-$15/hour. But I think it depends entirely on the situation. I was able to hire a local mom/grandma to watch my son, 5 days a week 330-6 for 125/week. She drives, takes him out. When school is not in session she watches him all day but I pay her more. She does not have to cook or clean. She is a blessing to our family. And I think that there are a lot of moms out there that would jump at a job like this to make some extra money.

I have a similar situation. Two boys, 3 and 6, pick up from two separate schools and watches them a few hours after that. No homework, housework or meal prep. We pay $12/hour.

Your friend is probably looking at between $200-$250 a week.
Is there no aftercare at the school? That would probably be more cost effective
