How do YOU clean your bathroom and kitchen?

I'm curious what everyone's system is.

I try and straighten up every night- wash everything in the sink, put away everything in dish rack, and keep stuff off the counter which usually means I pile it all up and push it to the corner. Regular cleaning is just using a sponge to wipe down counters

When I really clean (once a month or so) I spray the counters with alcohol /water and dry them off... weinman spray on the appliances...A drop of dish soap and warm damp rag to clean the wood cabinets

Floors I vacuum almost every other day and swiffer mop , or I scrub on hands and knees with dishrag with vinegar like once a month


Bathrooms- In the tub I use a sponge and vinegar, or comet. vinegar and baking soda on the grout Vacuum and swiffer mop or vinegar on a dishrag for floor

For the acrylic or fiber glass pans-when it gets bad I use a magic eraser on the pan. Marble countertops I use just dishsoap on a sponge

Every day I use Lysol wipes on and around the toilet and on the floor. Toilets are the nastiest.



I should add that I have a seven year old boy , a newly potty trained three year old boy , and we have company
(-aka their little friends and friends parents) over all the time. So, the kitchen and especially the bathrooms get cleaned very often. I feel like I should get a power washer for the bathrooms.
The rest of the house.....well...you can write your name in the dust. Just don't write the date...

Kitchen- deep clean once a week. stove gets wiped down with fantastic or windex or whatever else I have at home after every use. Same with counters. Dishes cleaned or put in the dishwasher after every use. Sink also cleaned with fantastic daily. Once a week I clean the cabinets usually with a damp cloth and dish wading soap or Murphy oil. Floor gets vacuumed and mopped once a week but every day or every other day I take a Lysol wipe and wipe it and pick up any crumbs on my hands and knees. Appliances get cleaned once a week with the stainless steel appliance cleaner. Fridge also gets a wipe down with Lysol wipes at least once a week.

Bathroom- I do a deep clean every week, tub I clean with comet and bleach spray once a week. The tiles either bleach or windex or fantastic or tilex depending how they look. Bowl is also cleaned with comment and bleach as well as sink. I know bleach is bad but I don't care. The floor I spray fantastic and wipe it down on my hands and knees. I wipe down bowl, sink and floors with Lysol wipes as needed in between.

It's just DH and me in the house.

Kitchen counter and stove get wiped down every night. Floor swept as needed.
Deep cleaning is wiping down all appliances with windex. Counters get washed with warm water and dish soap, followed with windex and paper towels.
Sink cleaned with baking soda.
Floor gets swept and mopped with warm water and vinegar.

Deep Deep cleaning is wiping the cabinets with warm water and a little Murphy's Oil, followed by a coat of lemon oil when they are dry. Emptying the cabinets and wiping the shelves.
Wiping down the inside of the fridge with warm water and baking soda. Same for the microwave.
Washing the walls and backsplash with warm water and Mr. Clean.
Wiping the blades of the ceiling fan and light.
Washing the window with vinegar and warm water, washing the curtain.

DH cleans the bathroom.
I deep clean it by washing the shower tiles and fixtures with Mr. Clean. Grout with a toothbrush and peroxide. Then scrub the shower floor and lower tiles with baking soda, use baking soda on a sponge on the glass doors to get the water spots. Rinse like crazy to get the baking soda off, then buff with an old t-shirt.
Floor, toilet, sink, wall tiles get cleaned with Mr. Clean. Outside of toilet and the set wiped with Clorox wipes. Exhaust vent and light fixtures get dusted.

I don't have a set schedule for the deep cleans. It's mostly when I have enough time on my weekends to get it done.
Ideally, DH would not be home, he just gets in the way.

I spent more than 6 months of weekends cleaning out FIL's hoarder home, so my home was quick cleaned, but not as clean as I wanted it to be. Now we have more time to catch up.

I feel like I deep clean my kitchen twice a day!

Load and unload dishwasher
Wipe down counters and appliances
Vacuum
Spot mop as needed
Take out garbage
Clean high chair
Put generic stuff away
(Deep steam mob every other week - cleaning lady)

We also have a toddler and 10 month old and my dh and I are a little neurotic. "A clean house makes for a clean mind." Haha..

Bathrooms I just vacuum and spray down - not everyday, twice a week. Cleaning lady does deep clean.

I deep clean both once a week.
Bathroom I use Clorox with bleach spray in the tub, on the tiles and sinks. Toilet bowl I use Clorox brush cleaner thing. I use the Swiffer dry broom thing on the floor then I Swiffer wet mop it. Clean the mirror with windex.
Kitchen I use Comet in the sink. Clorox wipes for the faucet and countertop. Swiffer wet mop the floor.
Every night after cooking, I clean the stove or oven, whichever we use and I always wash the dishes and put them away. I cannot take dirty dishes in the sink. It skeeves me out.

Reading these responses I realize I am even filthier than I thought I was. I think I Cleaned my kitchen cabinets with Murphys oil soap once in the 15 years I lived in this house. I have no time for stuff like that nor do I even think about it to be honest.
I prefer to spend my only 2 days off a week relaxing and spending time with my daughter and family.
Oh well.
We're all still alive.

....and I just opened my fridge and decided it was a good time to clean out the onions that grew horns and prob smart to bleach the veggie drawer that contained bio hazardous materials

Kitchen, I wipe the counters down with a wet paper towel and Mrs. Meyers Surface cleaner. I wipe down the stove top as well. I make sure to not keep any clutter on the counters, everything gets put into its place. I don't keep mail on the counter either, I go through and chuck any catalogs, and junk mail, and then open up everything else and depending on what it is I either chuck or put in my bag to bring to my office so I can handle them during lunch.

I spray the sink with bleach and scrub that down and I will vacuum the floors (in every room) every night as well. No dishes get left in the sink, they get washed as they get used. I will leave them to dry in the rack overnight and then put them away the next morning.

Bathroom, I spray the shower with bleach and let that sit for 15 minutes and then go in with a small scrub brush and quickly brush down the walls and the floor and then rinse (I do this every other day). I will spray bleach on a paper towel and then pass the toilet seat and handle as well.

I wash down the sink and spray the mirror as well - kids love to flick their toothbrushes while they brush, and I can't stand seeing the specks on the mirror. lol

I change the towels every two days.

It sounds like a lot, but I do this everyday so it takes me 30 minutes tops. I also do a quick dusting.

bleach I bleach the tub amd walls, clean sick and vanity, then do the bowl. go back and scrub and clean tub, then floor. I mop myself out of the bathroom.

kitchen is bleached daily. counters, handles, stove. bleach is king around here.

I've read that a mixture of half water and half alcohol (not sure which percent-70?90?) is a safe way to clean granite

Definitely not vinegar

Kitchen - I wipe the counter and clean sink every day with vinegar & water

Once a week I take everything off the counters and clean with either 409 or Clorox kitchen cleaner , clean out toaster ovens and microwave.
Once a month I clean all the cabinets and clean out the fridge.

Bathroom- same thing. Wipe everything down every day. Then once a week, I clean the sink and toilet with bleach cleaner and shower with scrubbing bubbles (I have dark grout so bleach isn't good there)

We have 2 black dogs. One is a 90lb rottie. There is black hair EVERYWHERE lol so I'm always wiping stuff daily to "DeHair" surfaces.
