Ladies who weight train
What is your preferred tricep workout? I feel like bench dips are the most effective method i've found - but they KILL my left shoulder - to the point where can't do them. I do dumbbell shoulder presses 2-3 times a week and i think they secondarily get the triceps, but i'm looking for something that more directly targets them.
I do tricep pushdowns occasionally but IDK - i never really feel like they do much. Mostly my forearms get tired which probably means i'm not doing them correctly
What do you do??

Skull crushers with a bar, and cable pushdowns are my go-to since having a shoulder injury.
If you're not feeling the pushdowns in your tricep, you're definitely doing it wrong as it's an isolated movement. Ask someone who works at the gym to show you - or I'm sure there's a youtube video where you can find your missteps.
Tricep and cobra push ups work for me as well.

I started doing tricep pushups a few weeks ago (knees on the floor for now, though) and i think it's definitely my preferred tricep exercise. Thanks!
