Depressed but need a dress
My whole family is just getting over illness icluding myself so I have not been going to gym and have been de motivated to lose weight. Anyway. I need a dress for my son's communion. I like the bell sleeve look. Should I go with a sheath or shift dress. I am tall with a bit of a tummy a size 14. I have not seen any wrap dress I like. Any ideas?

Depressed but need a dress
Go to Dress Barn they have so many gorgeous dresses and I feel like it's an overlooked source for great clothes.

Re: Depressed but need a dress
I carry weight in my belly and hips and I’ve come to terms that I can’t wear shift or sheath dresses. I find wraps or fit and flare so much more flattering for me.
I’ve gotten cute things on tjmaxx.com. I order 2 sizes or styles and then return to store.
Nordstrom rack.com and Macy’s have a lot too. ModCloth let’s you sort by height/weight and has tons of reviews. I’ve been loving loft lately and have had success at ann taylor. Also White House black market.
I’m an online shopper and in store returner. I find this effective as I get max choice and can usually find something. I hate going shopping and coming home with nothing.
I think you are being hard on yourself. I bet you look beautiful just the way you are. Just get something you feel good in. This is a happy moment, enjoy as I promise you absolutely no one else is thinking about your size.

Nordstrom is great because fewe returns. So you can buy 2 sizes if unsure. I agree with PP regarding wrap dresses. They hide a million sins.
Lauren by Ralph Lauren has nice stuff.
Macys, Bloomingdales and Nordstrom carries it.

Re: Depressed but need a dress
I am tall, curvy plus sized and love wearing sheath dresses. They fit me better than a wrap dress.
Look at Lord & Taylor and Nordstrom. Between these two stores, I always have luck finding a dress. I always order 2 different sizes to try on at home, return the one that doesn't fit. Just bought this Calvin Klein dress for $77

Depressed but need a dress
This is crazy but go on Amazon and look at the Chicwe brand. I got a gorgeous navy lace dress for $21.99. It's so nice and so flattering. I ordered 2 sizes and returned one. It wasn't free returns like you get sometime but it was $4. This is the dress I got but if you search the brand a lot show up.
