Silly disney question
Considering a trip with my kids 5 and 2 yrs old. If we stay on site (which is my pref) I know they offer transportation via bus from park to hotel, or airport to hotel. How does that work with kids and car seats etc? If you have a 2 year old do you just drive your own rental car?

Silly disney question
the bus from airport to hotel (Magical Express) your child can sit on your lap. They don't recommend child safety seats on their bus.
And depending on which hotel you stay at you can go to park by monorail or bus. Your child's stroller can go on the monorail and the bus you fold your stroller up and your child sits on your lap.

WOW so it isnt against the law for a child to sit on your lap on a bus at that distance? Im surprised by this. Was wondering how it worked. Thanks for responding!!

they don't need car seats on the busses. We have been going since my little one is 2 and we all just seat in the seats.

Silly disney question
One more question since this is the best place to ask -- has anyone stayed at Bay Lake Tower? I was told it was walking distance to Magic Kingdom and on the monorail. Does that monorail take you anywhere other than Magic Kingdom?

The Resort Monorail, makes the following stops: -Magic Kingdom park. -Disney's Contemporary Resort. -Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. -Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. -Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC) (to get to Epcot)

Hmmm so is it actually more difficult to get to all the other parks staying here? My other options are:
Boardwalk Beach Club Old Key West Saratoga Springs
Where would you stay?

It depends on which parks you want to go to the most. Me personally I would rather stay at Bay Lake Tower, being able to walk to MK is golden, IMO.

FYI
Boardwalk - Disney’s BoardWalk is a short stroll to Epcot and a breezy boat ride to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Beach Club- Disney’s Beach Club Resort is walking distance to Epcot and a convenient boat ride to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Old Key West- Disney’s Old Key West Resort is just a boat ride away from Disney Springs Saratoga Springs- Disney Springs just a boat ride away.

Silly disney question
We love the Yacht and Beach Club (they are connected). Walking to Epcot and Hollywood Studios or taking the boat is nice! You could hire a "Minnie Van" if you don't want to wait for the MK bus. We just stayed there last month, and we love it. Their pool is so awesome!! Yacht Club side has nice, new renovated rooms. Ours was amazing! If you plan to go when Toy Story Land opens, I would stay there. Easy transportation option.
Saratoga Springs I would nix. Horrible bus service every time we stay there. And so many internal bus stops.

For me I would stay at the following
Contemporary or Bay Lake Tower if you plan most of your time at MK. It’s a very easy, stress free walk.
Yacht club or beach club if you spend most of your time at Epcot or Hollywood Studios

Re: Silly disney question
We always use Disney transportation and we just buckled the kids into the lap belts on the bus coming to and from the airport. We didn't fuss with carseats. Once you're on property, there is no way to use carseats. You just sit them in their own seats on the bus or on your lap. If you get stuck standing there is usually always someone who is nice enough to give up their seat if you have a little one with you.

Kingdom Strollers - The BEST!!! Very affordable too, we always use them.
