TSA Precheck

So I went Tuesday at 12:30 (well, 12:40 because the guy with the 12:50 appointment showed up really early and they took him first even though I was early for my appointment). My KTN came tonight at 8:09.
We went on Wednesday the 28th at 4. And got our numbers 3:30 this morning!
I was shocked.

Did you go to JFK?
This has been on our "to do" list.
DH thinks it has to be at JFK only but if Islip will take us; I would rather go there since its closer.

No, we went to a place in Newark NJ.

you only need to go to JFK or Newark if you are getting global entry.
for TSA recheck when you go to their website and put in your zip it will give you a list of places.
We went to a fingerprint place in Hicksville. No need to go to an airport for TSA recheck

We had to do Global Entry. I didn't realize that.

I got global entry with pre check about 4 years ago.
I love it we travel a lot domestic and international
It is so great going right through security
I also have CLEAR from delta and that’s great for terminal 2 jfk and a bunch of other airports I fly out of
You only need your mobile boarding pass and don’t need your ID for clear.

I went to the airport because it had the earliest appointment available- it was over a month at the other convenient places.
