Disney Resort question
What started out as a budget trip for 2019 is now, well, ....
Anyways, we are planning on only using Disney transportation, being there in the late August heat with a 3 and 6 year old, and my dh gets cranky as hell. Doing Day each in Epcot, MK, dhs. I first booked Little Mermaid Art of Anim. but now I’m worried about room size, walk to the bus, bus wait, and relying only on bus. Should I upgrade to Boardwalk Inn IF Disney announces reduced summer room rates for next summer? I love proximity to 2 of the parks. What should I do in the interim? Change to pop? Change to Port Orleans? Help!

Disney Resort question
I love AoA - we stayed in a Nemo suite but I heard the Little Mermaid rooms were a far walk. I also LOVED Pop Century and the buses were great!! Plus I heard the rooms now are updated. If I could I would stay at Pop again but since I’m a family of 5 this time we’re doing Port Orleans- Riverside which I heard the resort is amazing but buses not so great.

Disney Resort question
We stayed in a Little Mermaid room once. It was super cute, super small and super far from the main building. I hated it to be honest! We were coming from a week at the Yacht Club and needed to extend our stay and that was all they had. I like Pop....one bus, and everything is compact. I've never stayed at the Boardwalk, only the Yacht Club (same area), and I highly recommend it! Their pool is awesome! But, staying at the BW you have the boats, which are great! Or you can walk to Epcot. Port Orleans Riverside has a ton of internal bus stops. French Quarter just has one. I would pick Pop over Riverside just for that reason to be honest. I cannot stand having to stop a million times

SUPER TRUE! loved riverside. its my favorite pool and i love the boat to disney springs and its so nice to just walk-bike around the grounds... so themed it takes you away... BUT... bus service was SLOWwWw.... the biggest downside for me.

Disney Resort question
The Boardwalk is an adorable hotel. Boat transportation was great as was the walk to Epcot. If you want to stay more economical I'd go for Port Orleans French Quarter. It's a smaller resort than Port Orleans Riverside and there's only one internal bus stop. That makes a huge difference, especially on the way back to your resort at the end of the night.
