Boys 7th Birthday

My boys are interested in having a cooking/Jr Chef birthday party.
There is so much of this on TV these days and one of my boys took a JR. Chef class at camp.

If your 7yr old son was invited to a party that made choco treats, birthday cake & Pretzel would they think this is fun? I am having 2nd thoughts....

My boys have been to a couple of parties like that. One where they made a decorated chocolate and another at a jr chef place where they helped to make food.
I guess it depends on the place. I wasn't too impressed with a jr chef party where the kids just helped with mixing ingredients and not too much doing it themselves. I also feel like when the kids are sitting around too long they start getting antsy and running around or playing when they shouldn't.
If there's some games they can do while the food cooks or something to get them moving to get some energy out that's fun.

If your DS wants that kind of party then let him do it.

my boy would love it.
he actually took cooking classes on saturdays all of last year and he loved sharing the recipes and also recreating them at home.

My son would LOVE it. He’s turning 8!

He and his friends are huge into cooking. They all talk about the Master chef junior shows and use the cookbooks.

FYI: the only after school club that there is a HUGE (over a year) wait for is cooking.
