Handheld Video game

DS will be 7 in December - what video game system do you recommend? He isn't asking for anything in particular- he did play fort night once and enjoyed it- he plays Roblox on his kindle- I was looking for something he could use in the car for when we drive to Disney. Do any of them come with games- I am very out of my element with video games
Thanks

My son has a Nintendo Switch at his dad's house but it was expensive ($250 and the games are around $50). He also has an iPod Touch - that works like an iPhone - so he has apps that are games and we have YouTube Kids and Netflix for travelling. It's also handy b/c he can text us, but can't make phone calls.

My kids have a Nintendo 2DS. It's age appropriate and games range in price from affordable to expensive. They really enjoy it.

Definitely a Nintendo Switch. They are going to stop making some games for the 3DS/2DS because of the Switch (my son informed me that future Pokémon games will be for the Switch only, not the 3DS).

While traveling in the car, if your car doesn’t have WiFi, you just won’t be able to play anything that has an online option.

As far as games go, they are usually around $60 each. However, there are some less popular games that you can get for $20-$40.

O and Fortnite is ‘free’ on the Switch. Well ‘free’ to download .... until child ‘needs’ v-bucks! LOL! Brilliant marketing I tell ya!
