Are any of them good for an almost 4 year old or should I wait longer?

DS got his Leapster at 4.4 and has loved it. Well worth the $$ IMO. He has asked Santa for a few new games so its still going strong.

We have the Leapster L-Max. My DS loves it, and now DD is starting to get her hands on it too! The l-max is capable of being connected to the TV - but we never have, so the regular Leapster would have been fine.

I do not know anything about the Leapster 2 - but I think it can be connected to the computer to play along.

What ever one you get, the games are all interchangeable, which is good.
