Does anyone have experience with going to Woodloch Pines? How long did you stay for? What did you do? We're looking at a summer, not winter, trip. It will likely be a few families, so I've heard it's nicer to stay offsite at Woodloch Springs in a house.
Any feedback would be helpful! TIA!

Re: Woodloch
We've been going every year since 1989. We always go labor day weekend as it's the cheapest summer weekend. We stay from Saturday until Monday or Tuesday depending on when school starts. We've never done a house, but I can answer questions about pretty much anything else there!

We stayed in the house at Woodloch Springs - it was really nice. The only annoying thing is then you have to drive to woodloch pines for all the activities and meals. We are a large family so the house works better for us. We loved it there. I want to go back but it is so expensive.

We were there over Rosh Hashanah weekend. We were in a 5 bedroom house on property on woodloch pines. You could walk to the activities or there’s a shuttle that is constantly going around the property. If you’re in a house on property you have to partake in the dining plan.

My extended family (which is huge) has been going pretty much since they opened in the 50’s. Everyone goes for a week. They have tons of activities going on. I’ve been up a couple of times, once with DH and DS (the other times were before I met DH). We stayed in a house in Springs both times and it was very nice. The crumb cake is awesome.

Re: Woodloch
So if you're at Pines you eat on their meal plan. Is that a limited menu? Buffet? And if you're at Spings you eat at the restaurants at cost?

Been going for 20+ years and love it! They do have houses on WP property that I'd recommend rather than The Springs for the convenience.
We've stayed at just about every room/building on WP, but never The Springs but I think you can buy the meal plans. Meals are in the dining room at certain times. It's sit-down family-style with a few options for every meal (plus always chicken fingers, burgers, grilled cheese).
