February break
Where is everyone going over February break? We were waiting for the shutdown to be over before booking a trip and were originally thinking of going back to Camelback but it’s so expensive with the holiday pricing and I know it will be packed.
Any suggestions within driving distance for a few days (not flying anywhere)? Skiing, tubing, and other activities hopefully?

February break
We did Disney last February break and it was awesome. This year February break is the only break we don’t have a vacation booked.
I don’t know if it will be any cheaper than Camelbeck but Woodloch is a great place.

I was actually looking into Woodloch this morning. Question: they offer 2 meals included (breakfast & dinner), but how does that work with arrival and departure days? We obviously won’t be there in time for breakfast on check in day. And are the meals only allowed during certain times?

Arrival day is just dinner and departure day is just breakfast. There are set dining times for meals and you’re assigned the table for the duration of your stay

We went the year before last from our cruise, and it was 80...was perfect, since we were coming from 20's!

Hopefully Puerto Rico. Everything is pricey now. Week after flights are down to $100!

Re: February break
I'm taking my kids out of school the week before break and we're going to the Nickelodeon Resort in the DR. Never been and super excited!
For President's week I was looking at going to Camelback as well for 2-3 days and you're right, the prices are nuts. I'm looking to go now to Big Boulder which is a very small resort about 15-20 minutes west of Camelback. It's where I learned to ski many, many moons ago. It's basically $100/day for the kids (lift ticket, rentals and 3 hour lesson). That's about as cheap as it gets. I'll put my sons in for the afternoon lesson (1-4pm) and then I'll get a twilight lift ticket (3pm-9pm) for $24. Staying at a Hampton in 15 miles away on Hilton points.
Big Boulder has a sister resort called Jack Frost which is nice as well. No night skiing but a little bigger. Both have tubing as well.
Split Rock lodge is nearby both and has a movie theatre and very small water park you can buy day passes to. I've hear mixed reviews on the waterpark so beware.
Maybe we'll see you on the slopes?
