Anyone else get high off Sudafed?
I know it contains pseudoephedrine which is use to free base speed, etc and hence why you have to show 8 forms of ID and sign your life away to buy it nowadays  but damn, every time I take it I feel like I'm coming down off a 3 day coke bender!
I had to take it last night because I had a sinus headache that just wouldn't quit all day and I was up and down all night with a racing heart, sweating, anxiety. I feel like I barely slept.
This morning I still feel off and like I'm coming down off of something and like I'm crawling out of my skin.
I assume I just can't tolerate it, but i swear, I have taken narcotic pain meds post surgery and for my kidney stones, and never felt as bad as taking this OTC decongestant.
Anyone else get this way with Sudafed?

Anyone else get high off Sudafed?
I cannot take that or anything labeled "D" I once took a Claritin D by accident and couldn't sleep for two nights. It was horrible!

Anyone else get high off Sudafed?
I stay FAR away from any decongestants, or any cold medicine in general. I just ride it out with tylenol or advil.
That stuff makes me crazy!

Yeah I have anxiety to begin with so forget it.
But last night NOTHING was helping my sinus headache. I'm not even sick with a cold or anything, I just randomly get sinus congestion and pain.
I tried a hot compress, I tried steam, I took Advil.
It was just this annoying AF headache for hours.
I finally broke down and took the Sudafed knowing full well I was going to regret it. I even tried taking some CBD oil before bed to see if it helped counteract it.
And the Sudafed did help the headache I have to say..
But now I'm hungover.

I can't take Sudafed with my High Blood Pressure but when I have a bad sinus infection, I take a benedryl. It knocks me out so I take it at night but it takes the headache away. Maybe try that next time : ).

Thanks I will try that. I know it affects me like this but sometimes I feel I have no choice to knock out some bad sinus congestion.
I'll see if the Benedryl helps next time.

Only thing that doesn't affect me is Nyquil at night if I have a bad cough. That's it.

Yeah it's definitely the Pseudoephedrine- it makes your heart race, etc.
Anything you can buy that doesn't require you to go to the pharmacy and sign for it, shouldn't effect you like that.
Unfortuneatly the only thing that clears up my congestion is the pseudoephedrine
It sucks
