End of Year Party... question
My son was invited to a friend's end of year pool party at the house. He's just about 10 and will be done with 4th grade soon. It's not a graduation party bc they have one more year in elementary. What do I bring? I have been to friend's parties that I bring a hostess gift, but this is a kid's party. Not even a graduation party so wouldn't give a gift for that either.
What do I bring? DH said it's just a party and don't need to do anything, but I never show up somewhere empty handed. I won't be there though so dropping him off.

I'd ask the host what you can bring.

Re: End of Year Party... question
We have done this in our school and the hostess always puts together a list of things needed and everyone brings something from that list. This way there aren't a ton of duplicates

Re: End of Year Party... question
I would bring a bottle of wine for the hostess and a box of munchkins for the kids.

I was thinking that, but is it appropriate for a drop off afternoon pool party I won't even be at? I do know her and she would love wine though. LOL

There was no list. I think she's just having some of her son's friends over for a pool party the last week of school that's a half day.

Re: End of Year Party... question
I'd bring watermelon slices or cut up oranges or a package of juice boxes. Something like that.

Why wouldn't it be? She doesn't have to open it right then- it will be nice for later that night or another day.

End of Year Party... question
I hosted a class party at my house last year. Some sent cookies. Some knew we were doing Bunch-a-Balloons (the water balloons) and brought some packs of those! That was so helpful because those get $ with so many kids.
