Carpet
Looking to pull up the carpet on my basement steps and small 10x10 laundry/storage room at the bottom of the steps. Right now we have industrial carpet. Anyone have any recommendations like Home Depot, Lowes who did this recently? How much would it cost about?

Re: Carpet
Are you saying you want to pull it up and replace it? The cost would vary greatly based on what kind of carpet you got, the quality, the padding you chose for underneath. We've never had them rip out our old carpet though- we just do it ourselves, it's not hard at all

Yes, I would like to pull it up and have it removed. We can do it if its not included. Just looking to see if anyone had stairs and a small room carpeted recently.

Re: Carpet
Again, it all depends upon the type of carpet you choose, the price per square foot, the padding, if you need the old carpet to be ripped up, if you need new carpet tacks installed, installation.
Too many variables to give you a valid estimate.

Re: Carpet
I would recommend not putting carpet in a basement/laundry room. Check out Floor & Decor in Farmingdale for some great vinyl plank flooring ideas. They are waterproof in case you ever flood.
ETA: We have that in our basement. We carpeted the steps only and I want to say that ran us around $1,000 but that depends how many steps you have (i.e. sq footage), quality of carpet you choose, etc.
