My honest opinion? I don’t think they need all that air humping and crotch grabbing.
They are incredibly talented, absolutely stunning and the excessive sexual movements cheapens them. If you have a crappy voice and can’t move to a beat, then grind and grab to deflect from the fact that you are only as good as your auto tunes and back up dancers.
But these ladies are incredible. They could have been up there in potato sacks and their talent would shine through. Every crotch grab and air hump made me cringe because I feel like they are better than that. (I cringe when all performers do that. I also hate when cheerleaders move sexually and god, when I go to dance comps with kids doing moves that belong in Club)

Once that stuff ended and they Really Really danced? I was wowed ( as per usual with them)

Am I outraged? No. Does every performer do stuff I think is stupid? Most likely.
I didn’t even like when MJ grabbed his crotch every second. It’s a stupid move that they should do away with forever lol

I think the halftime show as a whole was a success and was extremely entertaining. The people who are now forever blinded and their kids need to be re-baptized due to the sexual nature of a halftime show, need to find a life. I’ve seen those posts too. Half of them are probably just jealous that jlo and Shakira are hot as hell!

But they aren’t bumping and grinding for shock value or to overcompensate for their voice. They are Latina and Shakira is Lebanese I believe. Our culture in dance is about rhythm and sexual movement. Shakira has been moving like that since she started in this industry, she put belly dancing on map, her she wolf video is hot asf. This is cultural not about shock or look at me. JLo bust her @se to learn how to dance on the pole and I believe that was her homage to her movie hustlers. I would be swinging on every pole I saw if I learned how to dance like that.

I swear if people went to my family parties they better not bring their precious kids because our dancing is not a two step lol.

Shakira is Columbian; not Lebanese.
I loved them both! But I will say I think Shakira's a&& is better.

She has Lebanese in her from her paternal side, her name is also Arabic. Yes she is Colombian born and raised but she does have Lebanese from her dads side which is why she learned how to belly dance. She said this in an interview many years ago.
