Godmother Gift Help
My son is being baptized in 2 weeks and I'm still stuck on what to get my SIL as a godmother gift. She has LOTS of godchildren and I find the things that say "godmother" or whatever kind of hokey, with the exception of a picture frame, which I plan to do. But I like to get my children's godparents a thank you gift aside from the keepsake. For my DD, I bought my sister a Kate Spade purse and my BIL a whiskey decanter/glasses and bottle of whiskey. I already got a gift for my brother, but I don't know what to get my SIL. She loves to travel and spends a lot of time at her parents beach house in Rockaway, but she always gets gifts geared towards those interests so she has a lot. I was thinking a spa gift card, but I'm torn between two ideas.
The first being a gift certificate to Spa Castle in College Point. The admission fee for the weekend is $60- this includes access to the pools, hot tubs, saunas, relaxation rooms, etc. But any treatments (massage, facial, etc.) would be extra $$. My budget is $100 so the extra money would only partially pay for any treatments... or could pay for food/drink while there as they offer that as well. The gift card balance is given on a credit card like card that can be used at the spa. I hate giving a gift where it forces the giftee to spend more money, but I think she might enjoy this more than just a gift certificate for a massage, which is option number two.
Option number two is a massage at Eastern Breeze Day Spa in Roslyn as they have great reviews and the pricing is just right. I also like that you can opt to include the gratuity on the gift card.
So which would you prefer?
ETA: I'm of course open to other ideas! Or I'd be happy to save my cash and only pay for the day admission for spa castle if you think the extra $$ would go to waste. I only spent $70 on my brother and similar amounts for my DD's godparents.

IMO Spa Castle is a place where you would have more fun bringing a friend; whereas the Spa in Roslyn would be more of a solo type thing.
Does she like massages and spas?
What about jewelry? Maybe a diamond pendant necklace or even a bracelet can definitely be in your budget?

She does like jewelry, but she has a lot. And I just feel like that's always my fail-safe. She's in her 30s, single, takes care of herself, so she's tough to shop for! She does like massages and spas- but I think the spa would be more her thing. She's very into this type of relaxation when she travels, more so than a massage. I definitely overthink this stuff, too.

Re: Godmother Gift Help
If she would be willing to travel there is Sojo Spa. Not sure where she lives so it may be to much of trek. However, I know lot of people still come here from NYC that they offer a shuttle bus.
Been there twice and love it but I do live in the area. Also I need to talk to my sister because I never got a Godmother gift. Lol.

I agree with anonymoususer.
I've heard that place was sketchy. The thing that sticks out is people having sex all out in the open.

My vote is the normal spa. You couldn't pay me to go to Spa Castle.

Re: Godmother Gift Help
I have heard the same sketchy things as others have about Spa Castle, so I'd skip that.
The spa in Roslyn sounds nice. Does she like massages though? Could you get a gift certificate to the spa, instead of specifically for the massage, so that she can decide what specifically she wants to use it for?
