Hi Ladies, Thank you for all your suugestions.

After thinking and thinking, I realized she was born the same month as me and has the same birthstone. She doesn't have her ears pierced yet, but will in the future. I have always had problems keeping earrings in my ears, they always had to be 14K gold earrings.

So, I decided to get her 14K gold ruby (our birthstone) studs for when she gets her ears pierced in the future.

I'm not a Godmother, but my DS's Godmother got him a white gold cross. She also got some other gifts (frame, cross to hang on wall) from personalizationmall.com. HTH!

i bought my godson outfit for the ceremony...my sons godmother did the same

but maybe a cross necklace or some other keepsake

I bought a fruit tree for my Godson, I wanted something that would grow with him. Of course, I had to get permission from his Mom first.

Now I get fruit trees for all of my nieces/nephews when they make their 1st communion.

In our families the godmother purchases the christening outfit and the godfather the cross.

If you wanted something then I would do diamond studs (if her ears are pierced) or maybe a bangle bracelet. You could do a cross but I would check with the godfather first to see if they are purchasing the cross.

My sister got my DD her gown, a little porcelain figurine from Precious Moments and $250.

i didn't have to get the christening gown b/c it was the mother's and the godfather got the cross. i ended up getting her a name bracelet and some shares of stock in Disney (they love Disney).

I gave her a gold cross and chain. We have a Baptism dress that everyone uses in the family. (It is 70 years old). So, buying her a outfit wasn't an option.

The godfather and I got his entire outfit for the day (including bib, blanket, onsie, shoes, socks) and a gold cross on a chain. We got a chain & cross that he will grow into when he's older.
