Donations / fundraisers
Am I the only one bombarded with fundraisers and donations?? Between all of my kids schools, their sports and clubs and now even church/religion! I feel like every other day I am getting some sort of flyer sent home or a remind notification that someone is collecting money. And the best is when they tell the kids to tell their parents to send it money ?? sorry if I sound like a Scrooge but I just can’t get over the hundreds of dollars a month I’m shelling out.

I only give to what I want to give to.
Just because something comes home with DD doesn't mean I have to donate.
I throw a lot of stuff in the garbage .

Same. I give to the family of the local kids with cancer, not SGK or some nameless, faceless group.
I give to my kids school, not the high school. Once we are at that age, I will give to the high school.
I give to charity that i feel does good works locally, like the food bank, hospital, and local vets not national.

Ugh they just keep guilting us I feel like. After all ....”it’s for the kids”. And I HATE when they make things into a contest. “If your class gets 100% participation or the class that sells/raises the most wins something.

I dump out half those fundraisers.
I'm not forcing cheesecakes and wrapping paper on my friends and family.
If they are that hard up for money I will write a check.
Other than that, my high taxes should be enough
