Does anyone know anyone who has recently flown?
Im just curious as I am supposed to fly to see family next month. Probably won't go though.

A friend of mine flew to West Palm beach this morning. They posted pics of JFK at 7am & it was empty! So weird to see. The flight however looked like there were a lot of people on it (jet blue). But everyone was wearing masks. I travel a lot for work, mostly on Delta. They are taking a lot of precautions. If a job came up next month & I had to fly, I would go.

But everyone was wearing masks. I travel a lot for work, mostly on Delta. They are taking a lot of precautions. If a job came up next month & I had to fly, I would go.
Wow I didnt know anyone was flying lol . So when they get to WPB do they test them or take temps or anything? or is it just business as usual? Did the airport quarantine them?

That IS weird! I know it’s so hard to make the decision to go or not. At least airlines are being good about refunds/credit.

I'm in a Delta group and many people have been flying and the planes have been pretty much empty. Many just have one passenger. I guess it depends on the route though. I don't know anyone traveling for "leisure", but they wouldn't dare post it because they will be shamed.

A friend flew yesterday with her family to Florida. I don't know which airport, but I know it was on American. She was pissed because the flight was full, although the flight attendant said that it was they got a special permission to fill the plane. She felt the airline didn't take all the precautions needed, but people were wearing masks. She literally said that she was sitting on a row with 2 of her kids, and the row across from them were strangers.

My brother has been flying. He's a pilot so he has been flying for work but he has also been flying to his place in Florida to check on it. They are not following up on quarantine in Florida that he can tell.
He said some of the flights are full because they have cut down on so many but the planes are disinfected and masks are worn. He says it's fine to fly. I think I would get on a plane. He said it is so disturbing to walk through JFK at 6 pm and the place be totally empty.

Does anyone know anyone who has recently flown?
My cousin is flying on Tuesday to Sarasota, I can update then. He's going to his parents, my aunt & uncle. But I don't think there is a quarantine from people flying in anymore...according to my aunt & uncle every thing is open where they are and it's business as usual. I do have to say my aunt & uncle don't really believe in the virus and they think Trump is a god so there is that.

Yep, my aunts in central FL. We do zoom workouts together, and she is always talking about going to do xyz. My niece is always going to the beach, fishing with her friends... very chill.
Even when they were 100% “shut down” they were chill as fuq. I think the 14 day quarantine and all the mandates were to scare us from coming down there. Lol.

Where else did she expect them to put the other passengers? Not in any rows near other people? That's probably not feasible on many airlines, especially budget ones, if they are cutting down on routes. Sitting across the aisle is probably as socially distanced as it gets. I read most airlines are not booking middle seats (unless YOU book them together).
I also read that the airlines are spraying this disenfectant stuff all over the plane after each flight. I would feel totally safe flying right now.
