NY Pause NOT extended...
On Saturday afternoon, Secretary to the Governor Melissa DeRosa clarified confusion surrounding an executive order that seemingly extended New York on PAUSE.
NY ON PAUSE was not extended to June 6.
Yesterday's Executive Order extended the underlying legal authority for the Emergency Order, but did not change the text of any of the directives in NY ON PAUSE and so the expiration date of May 15 still stands until further notice. At that time, new guidance will be issued for regions based on the metrics outlined by Governor Cuomo earlier this week.
Rich Azzopardi, senior advisor to the governor, says that regions that hit the state's benchmarks will start to reopen May 16.
"As we announced on Monday, starting May 16, regions that hit our benchmarks will be able to start to reopen. Where does that leave those who don’t? They will still be on PAUSE," said Azzopardi.
On Saturday, Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon said that Onondaga County has met all of the benchmarks to reopen.

Absolutely like he has been doing all along.
I believe we will be at 6/6 and they misspoke for all of NYS. Upstate will keep with the 5/15 date.

Didn’t he pass some sort of bill at the beginning of the yr (or at least at the beginning of this covid problem) that allowed him more authority than what he already has as a governor?

Im confused too because I’ve seen it posted in a few articles. If it’s not extended though no doubt it will be because we haven’t met cuomos criteria
