You could take paid family leave to care for your child, but the benefit is not available if you are able to work remotely. You also wouldn't be entitled to the $600 as that is unemployment, which is something else entirely. And like someone upthread mentioned, you generally cannot collect unemployment if you quit, you have to be laid off. Here is more info on paid family leave due to COVID.

Well if I continue to work remotely while my kids are home I might actually get fired haha apparently there have been comments about how I’m not as productive while working at home because my kids need my attention too much.

I don’t ‘need’ this job. It’s just our play money but it really allows us to do things without worrying and I would miss it. But my kids and my sanity come first. I just feel like a really crappy mom right now. It’s straining my relationship with my kids.

I would take the paid family leave and reevaluate at the end of it based on if schools are open or not

Sorry for being the first person who posted something similar to another post from a few weeks ago... But, I felt this post was more related to whether the OP should take leave.

Don't be sorry. You can post what you like as many times as you want. If someone doesn't like it, they don't have to open the post, let alone comment on a post that bothers them so badly. Especially since they have made clear the hatred of this board.

If I remember correctly you posted something about wanting the ability to block certain posters and you complain people post the same stuff. If you are so unhappy with the boards how about just not opening the post when you can clearly see what the topic is ?

Yes we should be able to block people in here Because some are just downright nasty. We can block private messages but not posts. It’s just same conversation and arguments over and over. A little redundant...

So if you are so unhappy then why do you continue to read the redundant posts and complain. Skip over it. Problem solved
