Omg I saw those signs on Sunrise Hwy too. "Wash hands with soap"
I said to DH, do grown adults have to be told to wash their hands.. with soap no less...by a highway sign?
If so, we are in lot more trouble than I thought

Everyone knows they will creep up. Half the state is in phase 3. It's expected. But even Cuomo just said this morning that hospitalizations were at an all time low, lowest transmission in the US, and our numbers are continuing to stay low even through the protests and the reopening. Why does every single piece of positive news have to come with a negative. Can't people just rejoice in how far NY has come? Even with a slight uptick, which everyone expected due to reopening, we are in a great place. Could that change. Sure? But for today we are in a good place and I will celebrate that.

I agree. For my mental health, I choose to stay positive, optimistic and happy.
It's good for your physical health too believe it or not. Stress and cortisol aren't good for your immune system.
I am celebrating phase 2, lowest numbers in a long time, summer weather and positivity.

Right? Florida isn't letting us in but last I check they are worse than us now.
Maybe we shouldn't let them in.
One of my friends from NYC broke quarantine for mother's day down there in Orlando  and DH's coworker took a route to Fla with no check points, so they wouldn't be asked to quarantine.
I'm very happy at what's happening here. I missed today's Cuomo's brief, but finally I'm seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. A week ago or so I was feeling down with the curfew and the whole situation.

You have to focus I s on the hospitalizations. Those are more concerning.

Posted in my town Facebook group today by an RN at Mather Hospital....
I’m proud to say that Mather hospital has 2 patients with Covid!! And we have not had any admissions in days!!

I think this is because we were the epicenter and peaked early. Since states closed nationally, some reopened before they hit their peak, and because of this I think you may see problems. The mistake we made was having the country shutdown as a whole. It should have been a region by region occurrence.

Yep I live with people who never do and never did and barely get sick. I wash constantly and always have.

The numbers are with the antibody tests too. Look at hospitalizations and deaths, not positive cases.
